I just joined Fivestonesvintage October giveaway. Am very xcited now. haha

i totally know what i am going to do with the prize money. heh. first prize is 25 SGD so i am going to use it to buy my Mexicana Basket Weave Bag which is 27SGD.

keep thinking about the bag=x
well, if i dont win it, (touch wood) i will definitely buy it in November.;)

cos this mth i have already overbudgeted by spending a bomb on gmarket stuff.

my first spree items have already arrived so i am pretty excited.

not sure about the cost of the items cos i havent been informed yet and also the meet up date have not been confirmed. hehe

so better start fattening my wallet and POSB savings for winter.

cos this bear is going to need it.

time warp.

The “holidays” are ending. and i should probably do a holiday reflection.hmrr. how do i start.

i spend this holiday mainly giving tuition. Yes, from once every sunday, i am now tutoring almost full time at 4 times a week.

thrice a week at hougang, 2.5 hours per session and once a week at Esther’s place.

The blogshop with my sister was also set up around the holiday period, at the start of it, 8th august.

We initially wanted to bring in some spree items like headphones and crystal drop earpieces that you probably need to search under mushrooms in order to find. They are cute, pretty and wont hurt your wallet.

However, a trip to a D.I.Y accessories shop gave my sister some insight and probably the evil kickstart of a sort of addiction, where she keeps going back to buy cameo faces and necklaces and whatnots. :s
Since it spurred as more of an interest and not a real focus on the profits, we are currently still not making money. hawwrr.

well, but do go see ok. i think the items we have are quite sell-able but i have no idea why there is poor business.
probably cos we lack marketing strategies but anyhow, i hope the stuff can sell off soon before my sis goes mad again and another trip to the D.I.Y shop only means that we will never profit. HAHA

before u accuse me of making another marketing effort, i shall move on to the last thing i did during the hols.

right, i learned/ am in the process of learning German.

Not just mumbo jumbo from the internet or those common terms like Guten tag, guten morgen guten arbend and auf wiedersehen.

i borrowed their phrasebooks and learnt quite a bit.

but more haste, less speed. i decided that i shall learn three terms a day and one phrase as it would be most effective.

So, some phrases i remember offhand are

es tut meir leid which means i’m sorry, ich bin allergisch gegen which means i am allergic to and also random words like teuer which means expensive, frohlich which means happy. lol

ok i’m pretty much done rambling here. too much important stuff left undone and i am tired from typing. =)

right, so now, its time to learn some german followed by brushing up on my now DEFUNCT mandarin.

and, i will not be blogging over the weekend for some obvious reasons. =p

I miss touching your floppy ears.seeing one ear flop up when u hear noise.I miss craddling you in my arms like you were a new born baby.I miss telling you about my day late at night when no lights are on, when no one else is awake. I miss placing my hands at your warm furry cheeks to feel your silent grumble and the gritting of your teeth. I miss seeing you jump back into your cage like you’ll be caught dead anywhere else. I miss your tantrums when you are running out of food or when you just want someone to sit by your side. I miss you so much it breaks my heart.

The Day He Went Away.

My rabbit, otherwise known as Mocha, has died in the early afternoon of 20th August 2010. The following below is a memoir dedicated to this loving and grumpy lion head rabbit who never failed to make us smile.

We will miss you greatly cos of the joy you gave us, the numerous times when i had no one i could talk to but you, when i felt sad over unhappy things or quarrels i had with friends and family.

You never turned away, always raised a ear to listen to the troubles i had. You licked my palm instinctively when i place it near your cheek.

You never complained that your room was too small, too dirty or shadowed and stuffy.

For that, i thank you and hope you find peace wherever you go and please forgive me if i ever caused you any sufferings while you had your short stay with us.

We will love you, now and forever.

If there’s any day that is blogworthy, it is today.

Went for extra lab revision in prep for the upcoming final practical exams for Clin. Op. Extremely tired and my mind in partial delirium, i boarded bus 74 from Dover entrance, which supposedly brings me to Hougang Ave 3 in approx an hr.

Being the klutz i was, i alighted too early, ended up at AMK street 51 and was totally clueless of the fatal mistake i made.

After asking for directions and making my way to block 551, i was still oblivious to my mistake up to the point where i was actually at the void deck of AMK blk 551, st 51.

correct block no. , correct street number. ._.

And then, the big OH NO  came around when i saw a big sign that wrote ANG MO KIO AVENUE 10 , STREET 51. Time check: 15:50pm Lesson starts in 10 minutes. holey **********

In what seemed like a dramatic moment, i called my centre in charge to inform the parent of my students that i was going to be late. Epic for a first lesson ,huh?

Luckily for me, the lady was nice and did not question me as to why i was late and such.

The story doesnt end here.

I feared that i would be too late for the lesson and in a hurry, i decided to cab down to hougang.In my hurry, i did not stop to look at how ancient my taxi driver was and to contemplate if he was able to drive me to the location , with both of our safety considered.

When i realised how old he was, i panicked. He didnt disappoint my gut instincts by narrowly avoiding a full loaded lorry which had stopped due to a red light. He did a magnificient, if dramatic swerve and turned the taxi around like some Action stuntman.

Worthy of an applaud if it didnt scare the hell out of me.

And so, i conclude that this is indeed a dramatic day, one full of nasty surprises and it really pays to get focused on where you are and what you are doing, if you do not want to end up like, me.

It’s pouring outside.

Just done with picking out the clothes i want to get, which is basically, to sum up a couple of tees- sequined pocket, slub tees, vnecks vnecks and more vnecks, a pair of skirtshorts, kind of the in-thing now, it looks like a skirt but is definitely a shorts. Last but not least, i got a pretty rich looking blue long cardigan with button tab sleeves and also a black denim jegging which is quite sexy if i didnt get the measurements wrong -.-

Been editting the shop front and posts these couple of days, made one sale yesterday- a purple vintage rose ring, thanks to my bro who introduced a friend to the shop.

If you were wondering where i got the backdrop for the rings, i will explain right now.

It is simply:

One pen torch:) {optometry does come in handy haha}
One white tablecloth towel
One deskchair to support the cloth and the ring.

TADaaaaa. HAHAHA

i dont have a carpeted floor, really. :0

So, me and sis spent the whole night, roughly from 10 pm to 2am doing up the pictures and stuff.

I really hope things start moving sometime soon so we can cash back for the materials cost, which isnt a small amount.

If half the items start selling off, i will probably start on the new collection which is probably still vintage, but this time around i will play around with beads and charms.
